About Quantum Opus Energy Renewables Limited (Zambia)

Christy provides senior executive leadership for Quantum Opus Energy Renewables Limited and supports the company’s development of renewable-energy and strategic infrastructure opportunities across Zambia.

He brings direct project-development experience through his involvement in the proposed Sakae Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Project in Chisamba. This initiative has been conceived as a utility-scale renewable-energy development combining solar generation with battery storage to support reliable power supply, grid stability and Zambia’s wider energy-transition objectives.

Within Quantum Opus, Christy will lead local strategy, institutional engagement and the coordination of project-development activities. His responsibilities include supporting relationships with the Ministry of Energy,   ZESCO, the Energy Regulation Board, ZEMA,  commercial partners, investors, advisers and  local stakeholders.  Christy will also help    

oversee the progression of projects toversee the progression of projects through feasibility, site development, environmental review, grid  assessment, commercial structuring and financing preparation. Working alongside Quantum Opus’s directors and specialist  advisers, he will promote disciplined  implementation, regulatory    

 compliance,  transparent governance and meaningful economic and community benefits.

His practical understanding of Zambia’s institutional and commercial environment will be central to establishing Quantum Opus as a credible long-term participant in the country’s renewable-energy and infrastructure sectors.

 Quantum Opus Energy Renewables Limited and Sakae Energy Corporation Limited are developing a collaborative framework through which their respective experience, project opportunities, institutional relationships and specialist capabilities may be brought together.

The proposed Sakae Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Project in Chisamba is being considered as an initial opportunity for cooperation within the wider Quantum Opus coalition, subject to technical, legal, commercial and financial due diligence and the execution of appropriate project agreements.
